Upholstered furniture uses more varied materials and methods of manufacture than carpet, therefore we pretest each piece to determine its fabric content. If it’s unsafe to clean, we’ll let you know what options are best.
You can also bring cushions/pillows, etc. into our shop and save. Or bring your car over and we’ll clean your upholstery to keep your car looking like new!
Water Damage/Restoration
Here's what you can do until professional help arrives:
- Stop the source of water flow or call the needed help to do so (plumber, roofer, or water department).
- Avoid contaminated water and electrical hazards. Act promptly to start your recovery. Call us or other qualified professionals for emergency water removal and water damage restoration.
- Document what you can using pictures/video/notes, etc.
- Be careful walking on wet floors-they are slippery.
- Remove as much furniture as possible from wet areas to prevent staining. Protect legs from moisture by putting pads under them made with triple folded aluminum foil. This also makes it easier to get started extracting the water and lifting the carpet.
- Pin up draperies and upholstery skirts to prevent water stains from developing on them.

Pet Odor/Stain Removal
Has your pet had an accident involving urine, feces or vomit? Many times, especially with urine, these cannot be removed using normal cleaning procedures especially if they get into the pad. We have methods and solutions to remove most of these completely. We can even identify urine spots using a special light
Often an accident is not discovered until long after it happens. The types of damage from pet stains can be diverse and are dependent upon the makeup of the urine. Urine content can change because of the pets diet, medication, age, health, sex and repoductive cycles. Because of these variations, some urine stains might not be removed.
Urine can affect the dyes used in carpet. Success is dependent upon the content of the urine, the dyes and finish used, and the time elapsed after the deposit. Some urine spots may be immediately noticeable, while others may take weeks or months for a reaction. The dyes may possibly change color immediately after contact with urine
There are many things available on the market to combat odor, but they usually simply mask the odor. The odor may reappear, especially in times of humidity. Recently, enzymes, available at pet stores and veterinary offices, have been developed that are better more effective; but results will be better used by a carpet cleaning professional. If odor cannot be removed, we will suggest what you may need to do next. You may even need to replace the damaged area of the carpet with a piece of reserved scrap. If carpet replacement is necessary, then replacement of pad and possibly sub flooring may also be necessary.
